This study is aimed at exploring the "Yi-Tong-Ki-Kuk" theory of Yi Yulgok. Under this purpose the researcher examined, firstly, the deference of point of view of 'Yi(Reason), and Ki(Energy)' between Yi Yulgok and Yi Toege, and compared, secondly, the problem of the individuality and the universality between the orient and the west. Above all, this treatise was written in the expectation tue it would make a small contribution to epistemologically establishing the Korean Studies.
